Way back when Steve and I met, as is known, he wasn’t necessarily the ideal suitor for the eldest daughter! Bunty and Harold were not very happy with what they considered was my choice of men. Tough parents to please!! Eventually when Steve wanted to ask for my hand in marriage, he needed to ask Bunty when she was in hospital after having a procedure. Caught her with her wits lowered! Obvs she said she was happy!!
