#1 I don’t think any of us can really imagine what it was like for Bunty to be parted from her parents during WW2. Being sent away to live with people you don’t know for an indeterminate length of time must have been terrifying for a young child.
It is testimony to Bunty’s strength of character that she came through it and ended up being the loving and caring Wife, Mother, Daughter and Grand Mother she is.
It has been said that heroes are ordinary people who are extraordinary in the face of difficult circumstances – to my mind Bunty fits the bill
One thing we can all always count on, is that regardless of the circumstances Bunty will always have our back when the chips are down and we love her for it.
#2 Who could ever forget going up Masada by cable car with Bunty and Harold with a stunning view over one of Israel’s most breathtaking vistas, unfortunately Bunty didn’t get to enjoy this beautiful view very much as she was sitting on the floor of the cable car with “jelly legs”
#3 Sometime in the last few years Bunty must have secretly obtained a Law Degree without anyone’s knowledge. How else can you explain that every time she gets a traffic or parking infringement she goes to court, represents herself and gets off scot free – its amazing
#4 Her other impressive qualities aside, being able to cook strawberry cheese cake, florenties, porcupine meatballs and ALWAYS have ice cream and chocolate in her fridge does make Bunty the best mother in law in the world
#5 Everyone knows that Bunty has an insatiable interest in modern technology. Her drive to master technology has lead to many of us to receive calls from the 1800 -Bunty Davis Technology Helpline saying: “When you’ve got time can you pop around and look at my (Insert appropriate Computer / Laptop / GPS / iPhone, iPad / Smart TV / HDD Recorder). I don’t know what’s wrong with it – it was working fine then it just stopped – I don’t know why I haven’t touched a thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
